0034 osvajacice zg lige2Our female team have won 11th edition of Zagreb league after they were better in final match against team Detono Zagreb (2-0). Our girls have reached the final with score of three victories and only one defeat after shootout. It has been theirs second title at Zagreb league, after 2011 when both male and female team have won this competition.

Our male team has finished 5th at Zagreb league. After defeat against Detono Zagreb (0:2), they won against KRP Sokol (2:0). Next day we have lost against teams BHC Sesvete and Nevažni (both 1:2), and won against teams BHC Čakovec (2:1) and Chemo Profili (2:0) what was enough only for 5th place.


0003 Zg ligaThe oldest beach handball competition in Croatia is reaching its 11th edition. Zagreb league will start on Sunday 10th of May with seven male and only three female teams. Beach handball club Dubrava will be participating in both categories with one team in each.

Zagreb league is known as development league for CRO Championship and all others competitons where teams from Zagreb will go in next couple of months. First weekend of the competition, our male team has scheduled two matches only, against Detono Zagreb and Sokol. First matches of our female team will be held week after, 17th of May against Chemo Profili Zagreb and Detono Zagreb.

0005 beach handball logoThe beach handball spotlight will move to the Spanish coastal town of Lloret de Mar come the end of June and the first week of July. From 26 to 28 June 2015 Lloret hosts the Younger Age Category European Beach Handball Championships, and following just a day’s break the European Championships for senior national teams take place from 30 June to 5 July. The European Handball Federation has now confirmed all teams that will take to the court. In the senior national team event there will be 14 women’s teams and 12 men’s team’s competing.

These teams have been seeded the following way:


0014 RandersThe Spanish coastal town of Lloret de Mar is to play host of the 2015 edition of the younger age category and senior European Beach Handball Championship following a decision by the EHF Executive Committee.

The organisational rights for the two events have been awarded to the Spanish Handball Federation, which plans to organize 2015 YAC (MW19) from 10 to 12 July 2015 and senior championships from 14 to 19 July 2015.

Lloret de Mar is popular tourist resort in the Catalonia region on the Costa Brava, only 75 kilometers from Barcelona.

Spain has already been hosted a major EHF beach handball events in 2014, having organised Men's 18 and Women's 18 European Beach Handball Championship in Lorca from 11 to 13 July 2014. 

Title defenders are Croatia (in men's category) and Hungary (in women's category) who became gold medal holders in Randers (Denmark) in EHF Euro 2014.

0026 ivanićAfter Zagreb league and Umag open 2011. BHC Dubrava won the tournament in both competition on second tournament of Croatian championship and EBT tournament in Ivanić Grad. Both our teams convincigly won gold medals without any lost game. Exept of team succes we also had five individual awards for players. For the best player in woman competition was named our captain Kristina Smiljanić, who is also in the best lineup of the tournament as best left wing. After last week award on Zagreb open Simona Hajduk was again the best goalkeeper of tournament. In mens competition award for best specialist went to Ivan Dumenčić and for best goalkeeper to Tin Badžek


0025 IvanicgradCroatian beach handball championship goes on! After Zagreb, next stop of domestic championship is Ivanić Grad, which will be first time for it to host the EBT CRO series tournament. Beach handball club Dubrava will be represented by male and female team.

In the strugle for the best female team, our girls will play against teams: Ivanić, Kontesa Nera and Detono Zagreb. All four team will advance to semifinales, the only question is from what position will teams qualify. After first tournament our girls are second ranked team with 7 points disadvantage freom Detono Zagreb.

In men's tournament there is twelve teams distributed in two groups from which first four will advance to quarterfinals. Draw decided that our team will be located in group B along with BHC Čakovec, BHC Hir-Sat (Hun), Let Cepelin toma-soft, Chemo Profili Zagreb and BHC Sesvete II. The second group is consisting of teams Detono Zagreb, BHC Sesvete, Pa KaaK, White Boys, Ivanić and Juniori.
